The innovative and progressive Department of Transportation of the Federal Capital Territory Administration has awarded ASTAC, Abuja's reliable and competent Traffic Engineering and Consulting partner for years, the contract to implement this system based on latest technologies and on geographic data provided by AGIS.
ATIS is the first world-standard transportation planning model of its kind in Nigeria and comprises of comprehensive data collected by ASTAC in the Federal Capital including manual and automated traffic counts, turn analysis, traffic flow rates, road capacities, O & D studies, demand modelling and many more. These tens of Thousands of collected data sets will be visualised with a highly sophisticated software package which is utilised for transportation plannings by Hundreds of Cities.
The Department of Transportation has, once again, proved its competence and farsightedness to implement such a transportation planning system for a sustainable improvement and extension of the growing Capital.
